In this environment, there is no room for mistakes, which hinders learning and creativity. This will lead to treating employees like numbers and a culture fueled by fear and anxiety. Lack of humanity and respect are major flaws. Subordinates tend to be insecure around a micromanager, creating a toxic work environment where hardly anything gets done properly. A micromanager is feared rather than respected. Micromanagement positions a manager as one who doesn't trust subordinates. This creates a volatile work environment that is highly disruptive, places a heavier burden on the team, restricts learning and team building and can limit employee career advancement.
